Travels
There is a lot to see in Italy so we have broken it into several pages. Links are at the bottom of the pages.
Milan
Easily the number one attraction is the Duomo in Milan, one of the largest churches in the world.
The roof is the greatest attraction with over 1000 live sized marble statues as it's decoration.
View from roof top over the Piazza.
Remains of San Carlo Borromeo former Cardinal.
A high end shopping mall with a arched glass roof constructed between buildings as a roof.
A basilica built in the 11th century.
Bellagio and Lake Como
This is sunrise from our balcony looking across the lake.
The best place to stay.
A former residence of a Prussian Princess of the same name, the gardens are equisite.
Be aware the road around the lake is very narrow and people drive fast. In one spot 2 busses met and could not pass, one had to back up several kilometers to a passing spot.
Lake Guarda
This is the largest lake in italy and surrounded by beautiful scenery.
The walkways and parking lots were surrounded by beautiful flowering trees.
The entrance to the old town Sirmione was guarded by a castle.
Draw bridge to castle.
