This was the largest church in the world for a thousand years. Converted to a mosque in 15th century, now a museum.


This is the marble front of the ancient library. Highly recomend staying in Seljuk and getting her at openning. It is over run with tour groups by 11 AM.



This city is in Capadocis and again homes are carved right into the volcanic rock.

Thes are the underground cisterns for the ancient Byzantine capital. The setting for the James Bond movie when they spied on the russian Embassy.

This was the Infamous Palace of the Sultans of the Ottoman Empire. It is a fabulous palce of marble and tiles. It houses the famous crown jewels the Topaki Dagger and Spoonmaker Diamond.


This is the the Harem in the palace, see the figures in the bottom they would have been the Sultans wives.

Within the walls of the palace is a museum with some of finest artifacts found through out Turkey. This is a spectacular marble Sarcophagi.
